Grandmaster Lam Chun Sing's 2003 European Tour
The World renowned Hung Gar Grandmaster, Lam Chun Sing was in Europe
during November of 2003 to teach his family art of Hung Gar Gung fu in Italy, Slovakia, and Czech Republic. The seminars covered a wide range of topics including Barehand Sets, Weapon Sets, Counterstrike Sets, and
application of Hung Gar techniques. In addition to seminars, Grandmaster Lam was also be available for private lessons during his European Tour.
Grandmaster Lam's annual visit to Europe is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to learn and improve their knowledge of the traditional art of Hung Gar gung fu.
First Hung Kuen Open World Cup Prague 2003
On June 8th, 2003, the First Hung Kuen Open World Cup
was held in the city of Prague, Czech Republic. The "Czech Association of Hungkuen Kungfu" of sifu Roman Hladík organized the event. Ca. 60 participants joined the tournament, divided in five categories (children,
beginners, short form, long form and weapons).
Grandmaster Lam Chun Fai from Hong Kong treated the spectators to demonstrations before the main event. In
addition, sifu Michael Goodwin (USA), sifu Massimo Iannacone (Italy), sifu Andreas Garksi (Germany) and the hosting sifu Roman Hladik (Czech Republic) performed as well.
Grandmaster Lam Chun Fai's European Teaching Tour 2003
Grandmaster Lam Chun Fai's 2003 European Teaching Tour was as always a
great success. Hundreds of students from all over Europe and other parts of the world came to learn and train under Grandmaster Lam. This almost a month and a half long tour was organized by Grandmaster Lam's
European students from various countries including Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Greece and France. Overall, the 2003 teaching tour was a great learning experience and an exciting event for all those involved. Grandmaster Lam
was very pleased with the dedication and hard work shown by his students and the seminar participants in Europe. As for the art of Hung Gar it was a great step forward.
Thanks to Grandmaster Lam Chun Fai's never-ending efforts and skilled teaching, the art of Hung Gar and the name of Lam family has spread both far and wide.
Grandmaster Lam Cho's 93rd Birthday Celebration
Grandmaster Lam Cho, the living legend of Hung Gar, celebrated his 93rd
birthday on Tuesday, February 18th 2003. Family, friends, Hung Gar instructors and students from all corners of the world joined Grandmaster Lam on this
happy event which was held at the Grand Lord Sea Food Restaurant located in Prince Edward/Hong Kong.
A memorable and truly enjoyable occasion, Grandmaster Lam birthday celebration has
become an event not to be missed. Every year Hung Gar practitioners from all parts of the world coming from all walks of life gather in Hong Kong to pay their respect and celebrate Grandmaster Lam's birthday as one big family.
This year's birthday party/banquet
was exceptionally bigger, in-fact one of the biggest ever held. An overwhelming number of guests turned out for Grandmaster Lam Cho's birthday to convey their best wishes and share in the festivities.
Overall there were more than 400 guests from many different countries, including: USA, England, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Singapore, Japan etc. Never before had there
been so many foreign students who attended the birthday. Grandmaster Lam Cho was extremly pleased with the international flavor of his birthday and the continuing growth of his family style.
Grandmaster Lam Cho and sons, Grandmaster Lam Chun Fai and Grandmaster Lam Chun Sing each personally welcomed every single guest in turn!
